The Yale University Art Gallery is now showing "Artists in Exile: Expressions of Loss and Hope," September 1 – December 31, 2017.  With the majority of works drawn from the YUAG's collection, the exhibition features artists from the 19th century to the present day.

"Artists in Exile" includes Hedda Sterne's circular painting Tondo (ca. 1953), donated to YUAG by the influential collector Susan Morse Hilles in 1984.
