1998 - 2007

In 1998, Hedda Sterne quit painting, limited in motion and by macular degeneration. However, rather than cease working altogether, Sterne created one her her most prolific bodies of work on thick sheets of paper, using graphite, pastel, and sometimes Wite Out. She reflected

“With time I have learned to lose my identity while drawing and to act imply like a conduit, permitting visions that want to take share to do so.”
